Delivery and timing
Do you deliver to my area?
We deliver within about 80 miles of Biloxi: Harrison, Jackson, Hancock, Stone, George, Pearl River, Forrest, Lamar, Perry and Greene counties. Check your town on the service areas page or call with your ZIP code.
Are you a local company?
Yes. Jonah Portable Toilets Rental is owner-operated out of Biloxi. The person who answers the phone also schedules the trucks.
How far in advance should I book?
Two days' notice avoids the same-day fee on a normal week. For July 4th, Mardi Gras, graduation weekends and Cruisin' The Coast, book 3 to 6 weeks ahead. Restroom trailers for spring and fall weddings: 6 weeks or more.
Is a few weeks out enough notice?
Yes, for almost every date. Only the biggest holiday weekends and wedding trailers need more lead time.
Do you deliver the day of the event or the day before?
The day before, usually Friday for a weekend event. Delivery times cannot be promised to the hour, so arriving a day early protects your event.
Can you drop it off Saturday for my Saturday event?
Saturday morning delivery is possible on request, but Friday is safer and costs the same. There is no delivery on Sunday.
My event is on Sunday. When will it arrive?
Friday or Saturday, and it is picked up Monday. The event price covers the whole span.
Can you deliver Thursday instead of Friday?
Yes, at no extra charge. Holiday weekends are often delivered Wednesday or Thursday.
What time will the driver arrive?
You can request morning or afternoon. The driver calls about 30 minutes before arriving and texts a photo once the unit is placed.
Do I need to be there for delivery?
No. Mark the spot with a cone, flag or chalk X, unlock the gate or text us the code, and the driver places it.
We just bought land and have no street address. Can you find it?
Yes. Send a Google Maps pin or GPS coordinates and a photo of the entrance.
Do you deliver to Keesler Air Force Base or NCBC Gulfport?
Yes, once the driver is cleared through the base pass office. Allow at least 2 to 3 business days for the pass.
Same-day and rush orders
Can you deliver a porta potty today?
Yes, when you call by 12 noon Monday through Saturday. Same-day covers all of Harrison and Jackson counties and often Hancock, Stone and George.
How much extra is same-day delivery?
$75, shown on your quote before you pay. Book two days ahead and there is no rush fee.
What is the soonest you can get one out?
Today if you call by noon. After noon, first thing the next morning.
If you miss the same-day window, do I still pay the rush fee?
No. If we confirmed same-day and miss it, the $75 fee is refunded.
Our porta potty company did not show up. Can you help?
Yes. That is one of the most common same-day orders. Call with the jobsite address and we will confirm a window on the phone.
Price and fees
How much does it cost to rent a porta potty?
From $225 plus tax for a standard unit at an event, including delivery and pickup in Harrison and Jackson counties. From $199 per 28 days for jobsites and long-term rentals, with weekly cleaning, plus a one-time $75 delivery and pickup fee. See the full price guide.
Is that price per day or for the whole time?
For the whole time. Event prices cover Friday to Monday. Long-term prices cover 28 days.
Does the price include delivery and pickup?
Event prices include delivery and pickup in Harrison and Jackson counties. Long-term rentals add a one-time $75 fee. Farther towns add mileage, shown on the quote.
What is the out-the-door price?
Your quote lists every line: unit, delivery, pickup, service and sales tax. The total on the quote is what you pay.
Do you add fuel surcharges or card fees?
No. There is no fuel surcharge, convenience fee, card fee or separate removal fee.
If I order two units, is it just double?
Close to it, but you pay one delivery fee for the whole order, so each extra unit costs less.
If I keep it an extra day, does it cost more?
Not for an event within the Friday-to-Monday span. For long-term rentals, any day inside the 28-day cycle is already paid.
Do you charge for a Sunday rain date?
No. A weekend event rental already covers Sunday.
Is sales tax included?
Mississippi sales tax is added on the quote. Tax-exempt organizations can email their certificate to remove it.
Do you have discounts?
Nonprofits get tax removed with a certificate, and orders of several units share one delivery fee. Ask about pricing for churches and storm relief sites.
Do I pay a deposit?
No deposit. Events are paid at booking; long-term rentals pay the first 28-day cycle at booking.
Is a cleaning fee charged after pickup?
No. Normal cleaning is part of the rental. Charges apply only for damage, vandalism or fire.
Is there a removal fee at the end?
No separate removal fee. Pickup is part of the delivery and pickup charge.
Units and features
What is the difference between a standard and a deluxe porta potty?
A standard unit has a toilet, urinal and hand sanitizer. A deluxe unit adds a flushing toilet and a sink with soap and paper towels, with no hookups needed. Compare units.
Does a standard unit have hand sanitizer?
Yes. Every standard unit has a sanitizer dispenser, refilled at each service.
Do you have a unit with a sink inside?
Yes. The deluxe flushing unit has a foot-pump sink, soap and paper towels.
Is a standard plus a hand washing station cheaper than a deluxe?
Not usually for one unit. A standard plus a station starts at $375; a deluxe starts at $350 and takes less space.
Do you have handicap porta potties?
Yes. The wheelchair-accessible unit has a ground-level door, turning space and grab bars.
Do you rent restroom trailers?
Yes, 2, 3 and 4-stall restroom trailers with flushing toilets, running water, lights and A/C.
Does a restroom trailer need water and power?
Yes: a garden hose and one 110-volt outlet within about 100 feet. We can bring a water tank and generator for an added fee.
Does the porta potty come with toilet paper?
Yes, at least two rolls, plus extra for busy events. Weekly service restocks it.
Does it have a light inside?
Standard units use a translucent roof for daylight. Restroom trailers have electric lights. For night events, place a battery lantern or path light nearby.
Does it come with a lock?
Each unit locks from inside. A hasp for your own padlock is free on request, so no one uses it before the event.
Does the unit have wheels?
No. It is placed where you choose and should not be moved without a hand truck. We move it free on the next service visit.
Are event units the same ones used on construction sites?
No. Event units are kept separate and look newer. Every unit is pressure-washed and disinfected before it goes out.
Can I see photos of the units?
Yes. Each unit page shows real photos, and we can text you a photo of your exact unit.
Do you rent shower trailers or changing rooms?
Not at this time. We rent toilets, hand washing stations and restroom trailers.
Cleaning and service
How often is the porta potty cleaned?
Once a week on rentals longer than a week, included in the 28-day price. Event units arrive cleaned and stocked.
What does a service visit include?
Pumping the tank, washing and disinfecting the inside, adding deodorizer, restocking paper and sanitizer, and refilling water on sinks.
Can I get service twice a week?
Yes, $45 per unit per extra visit. Crews of 10 or more in July and August often need it.
Can I get service every other week to save money?
You can ask for less frequent service, but the 28-day price stays the same because weekly service is built in.
Is a two-day festival serviced between days?
On request, $45 per unit per visit, usually early morning before gates open.
My unit was not cleaned this week. What now?
Text or call (206) 238-2473. We will send the truck within one business day and check what blocked the visit.
Can I change my service day?
Yes. Text us and dispatch moves it to the weekday you prefer.
Placement, access and permits
Where can the porta potty go?
On flat, firm ground the truck can reach within about 30 feet: driveway edge, side yard, lot corner or pavement. Read where to place a porta potty.
Can it go on a slight slope?
A gentle slope is fine. A steep slope can tip the unit; we will place it on the flattest nearby spot.
Can you put it in my backyard?
Yes, if the gate is at least 48 inches wide and the path is firm. A 5-foot gate is easier.
Can it go on concrete or in a parking lot?
Yes. Pavement is the best surface. Keep it out of drive lanes and away from storm drains.
Do I need a permit for a porta potty?
Not on your own private property. Events on public property or streets need a city special event permit. See the Biloxi permit guide.
Can a porta potty go on the beach sand?
We avoid loose sand because units sink and lean. Place it on the seawall side, a parking lot or a plywood base.
Does a specific spot cost more?
No. Placement anywhere the truck can reach is included.
Rental length, billing and pickup
How long can I keep a porta potty?
As long as you need. Events run Friday to Monday; long-term rentals continue in 28-day cycles until you request pickup.
Is billing monthly or every 28 days?
Every 28 days from the delivery date, which is 13 cycles per year.
Do you prorate a partial month?
No. The 28-day price is the same for 1 day or 28 days.
Is there a contract?
No contract. Pay each cycle and stop anytime.
Do I have to call for pickup?
For events, no: pickup is Monday. For long-term rentals, yes: call or text and we pick up within 2 business days.
Can it be picked up the same evening as my event?
Weekday same-evening pickup is possible for an added fee. Ask at booking if your venue does not allow units overnight.
What is your cancellation policy?
Full refund if you cancel 48+ hours before delivery, 50% between 24 and 48 hours, and no refund inside 24 hours or on same-day orders after dispatch. See the rental terms.
Can I add a unit or switch to an accessible unit after booking?
Yes, up to 24 hours before delivery, if units are available.
Payment
How do I pay?
By credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). Approved contractor accounts can be invoiced net 15.
Do you take checks when the driver arrives?
No. Drivers do not collect payment. Contractor accounts can pay invoices by check.
Can someone else pay for my rental?
Yes. We can text or email a secure payment link to your boss, client or family member.
Can you email me the quote?
Yes. You get an itemized quote by text or email to share with your committee, spouse or boss.
When will my card be charged?
At booking for events and for the first 28-day cycle. Later cycles are charged at the start of each cycle.
How many do I need?
How many people does one porta potty serve?
About 50 guests over 4 hours, or a crew of up to 20 on weekly service.
How many porta potties for 100 people?
2 units for a 4-hour event, 3 for a longer one, and 4 if alcohol is served over a long event.
How many porta potties for 500 people?
10 units for 4 hours, 13 for a longer event, 17 with alcohol over a long event, plus hand washing stations.
Is one enough for 15 to 20 people?
Yes. One standard unit easily handles 15 to 20 people for a day or a crew of that size for a week.
Do I need a single-stall or two-stall trailer?
A single stall works for up to about 50 guests. Mixed crowds over 50 move faster with a 2-stall trailer.
Storms and hurricanes
What happens to my rental when a hurricane is coming?
When a watch is issued for the coast, we contact you and strap down or pick up the unit. Units go back out once roads are clear.
Am I charged if a storm damages the unit?
Not if you followed our storm instructions.
Can you deliver right after a storm?
Yes, as soon as roads are cleared, in the order calls come in. See storm recovery restrooms.
