An event of 4 hours or less needs 1 standard porta potty per 50 guests; longer events need 1 per 40 guests. Add 1 unit for every 4 when alcohol is served, and make at least 5% of each cluster wheelchair-accessible. A 500-person festival over 6 hours with beer needs about 17 units.
| Guests | Up to 4 hours | 4–8 hours | With alcohol (4–8 hrs) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | 1 | 2 | 3 |
| 100 | 2 | 3 | 4 |
| 250 | 5 | 7 | 9 |
| 500 | 10 | 13 | 17 |
| 1,000 | 20 | 25 | 32 |
Counts include 1 accessible unit per cluster. Add hand washing stations at 1 per 2 to 3 units when food is served. Try the event porta potty calculator for your exact numbers.
Why do event units arrive Friday and leave Monday?
Event units arrive Friday and leave Monday because trucks do not run on Sunday. The early drop-off means your restrooms are in place before guests arrive, even if the day starts early. The price is per event, not per day, so the extra days cost nothing.
Holiday weeks shift earlier: July 4th weekend units are often dropped Wednesday or Thursday. If a park or lot will not allow units overnight, tell us at booking and we will plan a same-day drop and the earliest possible pickup.

Call now for today(206) 238-2473Does my Biloxi event permit need restrooms?
Yes, in most cases. The Biloxi special event application requires restrooms unless enough public restrooms will be open nearby, and asks how many portable toilets you will provide, the rental company, and setup and pickup times. The site must be cleaned within 24 hours after the event.
Larger events must file 60 to 120 days ahead with the Biloxi Police Department's Special Events Coordinator. We provide a written order with unit counts, accessible units and drop-off and pickup times for your application. Read the Biloxi event permit restroom guide or the city's special event application.
Which Coast event dates sell out first?
Mardi Gras parade weekends in February, July 4th weekend, graduation weekends in May, the Biloxi Seafood Festival in September and Cruisin' The Coast in early October sell out first. Book 3 to 6 weeks ahead for those dates; for any other weekend, a week's notice is usually enough.
Multi-day festivals should plan a service visit each morning ($45 per unit) or add units, since a standard unit holds about 200 uses between services.
Questions people ask before they book
Is the event price per day?
No. One flat price covers Friday drop-off through Monday pickup. A Sunday rain date costs nothing extra.
Can you service units in the middle of a two-day festival?
Yes. A morning service visit is $45 per unit. For a one-day event, units hold enough without service.
Do I pay a delivery fee for each unit?
No. One delivery and pickup fee covers the whole order on one truck. Event prices in Harrison and Jackson counties already include it.
We are a nonprofit. Do you remove sales tax?
Yes. Email your Mississippi tax-exempt certificate before payment and the tax comes off the invoice.
Can units go on the street for a block party?
Yes, if your city permit allows it. Units go against the curb on level pavement, away from storm drains.
Can I get the units picked up the same evening?
Ask at booking. Same-evening pickup is possible on weekdays for an added fee. Weekend events are picked up Monday.
