OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 Table D-1 requires 1 toilet for 20 or fewer workers, 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers for 20 or more, and 1 seat and 1 urinal per 50 workers for 200 or more. One standard porta potty has a seat and a urinal.
| Crew size | OSHA minimum | Standard units we recommend |
|---|---|---|
| 1–20 | 1 toilet | 1 |
| 21–40 | 1 seat + 1 urinal per 40 | 2 |
| 41–80 | 2 seats + 2 urinals | 2–3 |
| 81–120 | 3 seats + 3 urinals | 3–4 |
| 200+ | 1 seat + 1 urinal per 50 | Ask for a site plan |
The OSHA column is the legal minimum. The recommendation column assumes a 40-hour week and weekly service; long shifts, summer heat or a mixed crew call for the higher number. Source: OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51. See the OSHA porta potty guide for worked examples.
How does weekly jobsite service work?
Weekly jobsite service happens on the same weekday the unit was delivered. Each visit pumps the tank, washes and disinfects the interior, adds deodorizer and restocks toilet paper and sanitizer. The service truck needs to park within about 30 feet of the unit, so keep a path clear of materials.
- Need a different service day? Text us and dispatch moves it.
- Crews of 10 or more in July and August: add a second weekly visit for $45 per unit.
- Locked site? Text the gate code or leave the gate open on service day. A blocked visit is a $75 trip fee.

Call now for today(206) 238-2473How does 28-day jobsite billing work?
Jobsite billing runs in 28-day cycles from the delivery date. The first invoice covers 28 days of rental and weekly service plus the one-time $75 delivery and pickup fee. The unit stays until you request pickup, and each new cycle is billed at the same rate.
There is no proration, so a 9-day job and a 28-day job cost the same. Billing stops at the end of the cycle in which you request pickup. Approved contractor accounts can pay by invoice (net 15). Read the rental terms.
What Gulf Coast jobsite conditions change the setup?
Three Gulf Coast conditions change a jobsite setup: soft sand and clay that turn to mud after rain, summer heat that speeds up odor, and hurricane season from June through November. Units go on firm ground near the drive, stay in shade where possible, and get strapped or picked up before a storm.
Raised-slab and pier homes in flood zones often have the unit placed beside the driveway rather than under the house. For storm prep, read what happens to rented units during hurricane season.
Questions people ask before they book
Our porta potty company did not deliver. Can you get one out today?
Yes, if you call by noon Monday through Saturday. Give the jobsite address and we will confirm a same-day window on the call. A $75 same-day fee applies.
Do you offer crane-lift units for high-rise work?
Not at this time. Our units are ground-level. For multi-story work, place units at grade near the hoist.
Can we keep one unit for only a week?
Yes. You pay for one 28-day cycle, which includes weekly service, and request pickup whenever the job ends.
Do you invoice contractors?
Yes. Approved contractor accounts can pay by invoice on net 15 terms. New customers pay the first cycle by card.
Can we add a hand washing station?
Yes, from $175 per 28 days. OSHA 1926.51(f) requires washing facilities when crews handle paint, coatings or other harmful materials.
Will the unit be moved if it is in the way?
Yes. Text us a photo of the new spot. Moving a unit on site is free on the next service visit.
